Top work, the guys kept me fully informed about the start date. Punctual, professional and tidy. Lots of pictures before, during, and after charting the progress. So relieved I no longer have a rooftop pool!

Flat Roof

What a great bunch of proper gentlemen. Brad and his team replaced my flat roof early April 2024. I paid the same price as they quoted in October 2023. They were in for a day and a half. Worked hard and cleaned up afterwards. No messing. I didn’t even have to make them a cuppa as they brought their own flasks. They were friendly and polite. Never bothered me once.
As a single woman most of the builders I have dealt with have been intimidating, bullyish and taken advantage. These were a nice bunch of gentlemen and I would recommend them anytime.

Roof Replacement

Brad, Dez and George provided an excellent service throughout – they gave clear information, were punctual and tidy!
We first saw Brad and Dez replacing a tile on a neighbour’s house. I asked about increasing condensation in our loft and they immediately took a look in the loft and removed a few tiles observing they were soaking wet underneath as were the batons. It was clear that the ridge tiles and verges needed replacing, but questionable whether it was necessary to replace the whole roof. There was no pressure to do either, but quotes were subsequently provided for both detailing the exact work and materials that would be used. I sent a long list of questions and they were all answered thoroughly. Brad confirmed that they would carry out the work themselves in contrast to larger organisations when you might not meet the people doing the work until later. Our confidence in Brad and Dez encouraged us to go ahead with the full roof replacement.
Everything started on time with the rear roof stripped and partially retiled on the first day. However the only snow of the winter arrived that night preventing further work the following day! As promised the new membrane was in place so there were no problems with snow or any water in the loft. The snow delayed the remaining work a little, but everything was soon under control again.
We found it very helpful that Brad was keen to explain what they were doing and took many photographs to show what had been done. The condition of the old felt and batons convinced us that it was the best decision to replace the whole roof.
We were very pleased with the completed work and have no hesitation in recommending Brad, Dez and George for roof work.

Fantastic Job

These guys were the third company to come out and look at our roof leak. The first one quoted £750 to stick some rubber back and cement a ridge tile. The second one didn’t return. DB Roofing turned up on a Friday afternoon and fixed the leak there and then, doing the same as the first quotation for much much less. This was 5 months ago and had no problems since. Absolutely would recommend.

I found a leak in two bedrooms and asked a neighbour for a recommendation. He referred me to DB and I contacted them. The same day I got an initial response and a few days later Brad and Des called round as they were working in the area. They got the long ladders out, took some photos and showed me the state of the chimney stacks which both needed fully repointing along with some other repairs. A few days later I was given a quote which I accepted and I asked if the work could be done asap. They were able to fit me in 2/3 weeks later and the scaffolding was arranged in the meantime. Nearer the time Brad gave me a precise date and they came that day and did the work over two days. They even asked if I wanted to go up the scaffolding to see for myself the state of the chimney stacks, which I did. The great thing about working with these guys was that there was very clear communication about what they were doing, and a couple of other things they found which I agreed they would do in addition. Always felt they were very experienced and trustworthy which is just what I want in a trader. They came back as agreed to put a couple of ventilation slates in after giving me the option and explaining the benefits. All in all a great pair of guys and I would highly recommend them for any roof works.

After I had 2 very poor experiences with other companies, Brad came over to assess the problem, he spent considerable time in my loft and on the roof to identify the source of the problem and recommend the work that was required. He took the time to explain where the problem was and what was required to get it fixed. He then provided a fair and reasonable quote for the work and provided me with a date to start the work. Brad kept me informed in the week leading up to the work to confirm still on track. Dez & Brad arrived on time and completed the job a day earlier than expected, showing me pictures of before, during and after to show what work had been completed. Brad & Dez are a professional team of roofers who deliver work to a high standard, and also clean up after themselves!
